Feasibility of Watermarking Streaming Media

The art and science of writing hidden messages is steganography (often confused with stenogarphy, the art of shorthand). Digital watermarking is the steganographic field of hiding messages within image data. In this paper I determine if the available computer systems are capable of verifying or embedding a watermark in real time. In this context 'real time' means the watermarking process must not cause the video playback to drop below the desired number of frames per second (FPS).
